Did you know business with employers now have a 30 day extension for supplying employees with their Affordable Care Act forms?
The IRS has extended by 30 days—until March 2, 2018—the due date for distributing 2017 health coverage information forms to employees. The deadlines for filing these forms with the IRS were not changed. The decision, announced in Notice 2018-06 on December 22, states that employers will not receive penalties if employers can show that they made good-faith efforts to comply with the ACA information-reporting requirements for plan year 2017.
Self employed or employers with 50+ full time employees now have until 3/2/18 to provide Form 1095-B or 1095-C, Health Coverage or Employer-Provided Health Insurance Offer & Coverage respectively.
